Opening in Japanese theatres on 4 January, the film is set after the events of Sunshine!! Season 2, with the Aquors girls heading off to Italy on a graduation trip. Unexpected troubles and a missing third year await in Over the Rainbow, which is directed by the TV series’ regular helmer Kazuo Sakai and scripted by long-time Love Live! writer Jukki Hanada.
