The footage released from David Ayer’s upcoming fantasy film Bright have mostly been full of exciting action. The latest video from Netflix is a public service announcement on magic wands.
Bright is set in an alternate present-day where humans co-exist with fantasy creatures such as orcs, elves, and fairies. Daryl Ward (Will Smith) is a cop whose job is put to the test when he is assigned a new partner, Nick Jakoby (Joel Edgerton), an orc. During a routine patrol night, they come across a mystical weapon that could ultimately alter the future and their world as they know it.
The video explains that magic wands are a “weapon of mass destruction” and goes on to list what you should do if you encounter one. It’s a public service announcement by the Magic Task Force. But is their information an education or an indoctrination?
Bright arrives on Netflix on 22 December 2018.
