This fascinating new DC All Access featurette interviews Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL, the composers of the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice score about the themes they’ve created to provide the aural backdrop to the ultimate DC superhero smackdown. Zimmer admits that creating the music for Wonder Woman (a kind of “banshee wail but feminine) was of crucial importance they tried a hundred thousand experiments that all went wrong. Eventually cellist Tina Guo provided the answer.
Here are a couple more featurettes for Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice just to remind you that the film is out on Friday 25 March (and to get you munching a certain brand of crisps while you watch). The first features the cast of the film talking about the upcoming movie (don’t expect anything too deep or revealing), along with some new bits of footage. The other is the latest episode of DC All Access, which takes a look at some of the film’s gadgets.
This week’s selection of weird and wacky images and videos from around the internet…
••• Artist Dave Delisle has given transit maps for various North American cities a Mario makeover. The San Francisco Bay area one done in the style of Mario Kart especially made us chuckle. We’d like to see the London Underground map done in the style of Pipemania… Click on them all for larger versions. [via Geeks Are Sexy]
••• The ultimate case of retconning (or fan wish fulfillment) ever: what if the whole of Star Trek Enterprise has been a holodeck program?
••• Doctor Who’s Missy appears to have been raiding River Song’s wardrobe, as actress Michelle Gomez turned up at a fan event in a familiar dress from “The Husbands Of River Song”…
Who wore it best? Well it is Oscar night. #Oscars pic.twitter.com/lYvlpWJjWW

••• Kerry Callan doesn’t bring out new Super Antics very often (the last one was 11 months ago) but they’re always worth the wait:

••• We can’t believe this isn’t actually a real thing… The Revenant sleeping bag.
••• Grayson and Batman And Robin Eternal writer Jackson Lanzing has written, performed and produced a new Star Trek song in the style of Broadway rap musical Hamilton. Good for him.
••• Brian J Davis has created these photofit images based on literary descriptions on characters in novels using a commercially available law enforcement composite sketch software. [via nerdapproved]

••• With Easter just around the corner who fancies a chocolate Benedict Cumberbatch/mutant rabbit mash-up? These “Cumberbunnies” have been created by Jen Lindsey-Clark.

A round of some of the best, weirdest and silliest images and vids that have been doing the rounds on the net we like to call inter this past week…
••• Superhero and supervillain’s weaknesses chart, courtesy of morphsuits.com.
••• Star Wars shower heads. Perfect for after a session in the trash compactor up to your armpits in dianoga poo. They’re available from Oxygenics. Click on the image for a larger version. [via ComicBookResources]
••• Man creates Thor’s hammer for real (kinda)…
••• Star Wars shoes, available to buy from 30 October at Irregular Choice, a UK outlet. No Prices yet (someone asked on their Facebook page but they remained mysteriously quiet) but they look really expensive to us. And anybody else think the heels on the second ones down look a little like robot Beakers from The Muppets?
••• Not one but two Jurassic World skits now, the first of which is absolutely brilliant as it uses some great stock footage to produce what a trailer for the ’70s version of the film might have been like. The latest Screen Junkies Honest Trailer is the usual fun, but not one of their sharpest and waaaaaaay too long. We’ll forgive them, though, because we’re still laughing at the mere thought of their Mad Max: Fury Road trailer.
••• TrekMovie.com this week posted a whole bunch of very mildly spoilery images of the Star Trek: Beyond filming in Dubai. The most curious one, though, seemed to be a pair of background aliens who seemed to have wandered in from Doctor Who. Enjoy the Silence, Starfleet…
••• Darth Vader and Iron Man get Maori Tiki Warrior makeover courtesy of artist Mike Mendez.
••• “No, Mr Bonds, I expect you to melt.” All the Bonds together at last… thanks to Madam Tussauds.
••• Marvel/DC crossover of the week courtesy of Batsvsupes.
••• And yet another Back To The Future II skit…
