Japanese publisher Shueisha’s Shonen Jump magazine has revealed the first key visual of the new Gintama film, which also reveals the film’s title and release date. Gekijoban Gintama Kanketsu-hen: Yorozuya yo Eien Nare, or Gintama: The Movie: The Final Chapter: Be Forever Yorozuya, will be released in Japan on 6 July.
The second Gintama film to be released, The Final Chapter will have an all-new story, which has been devised by the original Gintama manga creator Hideaki Sorachi.
At the Jump Festa event in Chiba, Japan, staff of the Naruto anime franchise announced that they would be producing a new anime film for 2014. Few details of the project were given, but more will be revealed in future issues of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.
This will be the 10th Naruto feature to be released since Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow in 2004. The previous Naruto film, Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie, was released in Japan on 28 July this year and became the highest grossing film in the franchise. The latest Naruto film to be released in the west was Naruto Shippuden: The Will of Fire in October this year.
