••• This week the Pottermore Twitterfeed revealed details for four new schools of Wizardry and Witchcraft in Japan, central Africa, Brazil and North America. But Norwegian artist Even Amundsen has already created the Nordic branch of the magical franchise. Here are a few his characters for a school called Vølurheim. Where’s the Professor Of Troll Hunting? [via Nerd Approved]

••• Various US film and TV mags and websites this week were sent a mysterious package containing these six Avengers-emblazoned Coke cans a message saying, “02.07.16 – The Big Game Is Just the Beginning. Follow @CocaCola to watch the story unfold…” This obviously means that there’s going to be some kind of big new advert during this year’s Super Bowl, but as Screen Crush points out, it’s unlikely to be just another new trailer – after all Hulk isn’t in Captain America: Civil War (as far as we know). While we wait to find out we’re getting a little bit freaked by the Black Widow can. Can’t see many arachnophobes drinking out of that one.
••• Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 director James Gunn Tweeted this pic of some of the main cast in rehearsals adding the message, “When someone’s screwing up a scene during rehearsals I show them Dave Bautista as an example of good acting.” If you’re wondering who the guy squatting down is, that’s Sean Gunn, James’s bro’ who does stand-in of Rocket Raccoon. ••• From the artist who brought you Star Wars characters as classic Greek sculptures, Travis Durden, come these new collaborations with photographers on an evocative and moody set of images showing an imagined bleak future for Batman as the Dark Knight enter his twilight. “I wanted the final images as real as possible,” explains Durden, “as if Batman really spent time in these abandoned places.”
••• Just in case you do have feet like a Ninja Turtle, artists Hussain Almossawi and Quintin Williams have designed a pair of trainers just for you!
••• Although not quite the masterpiece that was the Batman V Superman trailer re-edited with George Reeves, Adam West and Lynda Carter footage we showed you earlier this week (“>see here) the version of the Suicide Squad trailer redone with cartoon footage is still well worth a look.
••• What if Tim Burton directed a bunch of Disney cartoon remakes? Artist Andrew Tarusov imagines they’d look very much like this. For some reason, we really the wallpaper in the 101 Dalmatians poster.
Odd, weird, cool and amusing images and vids that have been exciting the internet this past week…
••• With a bit or re-editing, Marvel could easily create an Avengers rom-com, even without the aid of Jennifer Aniston.
••• That’s no Death Star, that’s a cinema foyer. This is the new Alamo Drafthouse which has just opened in Omaha, Nebraska. “The idea behind the lobby is that we wanted to construct and install a theme that would make us unique in our Omaha market as well as the midwest,” the theatre team said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly [via /Film]. We also wanted a theme that was built around an iconic film and to completely own that theme to immerse our guests in the experience. That is when Star Wars came into the picture and it just so happened that we timed it out just right with the announcement of the huge plans for a new Star Wars legacy starting this December. It is a permanent installation and will be thee destination to see all of the new Star Wars films.”
••• Fandango has commissioned seven top artists from around the internet to create new posters for each of the seven Star Wars films in a wonderfully eclectic range of styles. Visit Fandango for some interesting insights into the artists’ thinking behind their work.

••• Freakiest marketing gimmick ever? Probably, so you won’t be surprised to learn that mind-melter Derren Brown is involved. Two life-sized dolls stalked the London Underground this week to mark the launch of “the world’s first psychological theme park ride” at Thorpe Park. If Brown’s involved, though, there probably isn’t a ride at all… he just convinces you there is, while you just stand there with your arms in the air screaming at nothing.
••• Here’s a bling BB-8, courtesy of ComicBookResources. This 4.25-inch replica of Star Wars droid is a collaboration between Disney and Kay Jewelers made for charity. Weighing more than 1.5 pounds, it’s made of 18-carat yellow girl and about 860 diamonds. Yours for $135,000.

Joss Whedon reveals in his dependably witty commentary on the Blu-ray release of Avengers: Age Of Ultron (out to buy in the UK from 14 September) that he managed to sneak a Buffyverse Easter egg into the Marvel film so clever, so ingenious and so subtle that if you ever meet any one who reckons that they spotted it at the cinema, then point at them in a crowd and shout, “Liar, liar, pants on fire!” very loudly.
Remember Angel, the spin-off from Buffy The Vampire Slayer in which her bloodsucking ex -boyfriend decamped to Los Angelese to set up a supernatural detective agency? Remember the legal firm that began as Team Angel’s nemesis but which they ended up reluctantly running by the final season? Remember what it was called? Wolfram & Hart.
Well, in Thor’s weird trippy dream vision sequence, there’s a brief glimpse of three shoadowy figure in some archways. They’re wearing masks. And guess what the masks represent?
