So cool is the music from the Mega Man series that there is to be a live concert to commemorate the 30th anniversary. Plus, one of the bonus features for Capcom’s upcoming Mega Man X Legacy Collection is a music player, which allows you to experience the soundtrack for each game, as well as a few new tracks created specifically for the release. However, if you don’t want to fire up the game each time you want to hear a specific track, then Capcom is releasing an official anniversary collection soundtrack.
As revealed by Siliconera, there is to be a Rockman X Anniversary Collection released in Japan on 18 July 2018, a week before the game is released. Retailing for ¥2,700 (around $25 / £17.90), it is already available to pre-order from Capcom’s e-shop and will also be available from Play-Asia. It includes remixed tracks composed by Yasumasa Kitagawa and a cover sleeve illustrated by Keisuke Mizuno.
The Mega Man X Legacy Collection is released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in Europe and the US on 24 July 2018.
